Greg was raised in Eastern Kentucky, after serving four years in the Air Force he graduated from Central Bible College (now Evangel University) with a degree in Bible/Pastoral Ministries. He struggled early with what to preach and how to find his own voice. He found encouragement while taking a graduate level course on Expository Preaching with the late Dr. Warren Wiersbe. This course helped him in preparing sermons, preaching, and discovering his own voice. This triggered a growth mindset that governs his life and continues to inspire him to pass on what he learned.
Greg and Nancy pastored for 40 years in churches. Along the journey they worked through the unique challenges that come with pastoring churches of varying sizes from 25 in attendance to 300.
Greg served in his district as Men’s Representative, Section Alternate Presbyter and Presbyter. He served as Chairman of the Red Cross in Ford County, and President of the Ministerial Association in most towns he pastored. He was asked to serve on the board of Directors at Canton Chamber of Commerce, while there he chaired the business and community development committee. He joined the John Maxwell Team March, 2012, and served as leadership training pastor in a church in Colorado from 2018-2020.
